TPE Car Mat Material

In general, when we talk about rubber mentioned above, we talk about synthetic rubber, and when we talk about plastics such as PP, PE, PVC, ABS, PC, etc., we talk about synthetic resins.

And you use the word TPE a lot.

How are TPE and TPR different? Many people ask that.

TPE stands for ThermoPlastic Elastomer, which means thermoplastic.

Thermoplastic means that you can change the shape again by applying heat.

That means it's recyclable.

The opposite is called thermosetting resin.

This material means that once the shape is made, it will harden and cannot be recycled again.

Then, what is TPR?

TPR means ThermoPlastic Rubber. It is usually used in the same sense as TPE or TPR.

The above-mentioned Elastomer Elastomer,In other words, TPE is commonly referred to as TPS, TPV, TPO, TPU, TPEE, etc.

The TPS uses styrene-based materials. In other words, it is made using SBS and SEBS.
